About Us
Moorea is an island in French Polynesia near Tahiti and Bora Bora. It’s actually written Mo’orea.
From the mainland United States, it can take several flights, a taxi, a boat ride, and another taxi to get to your hotel and get settled in.
Without the proper planning, coordination, and execution, it can be difficult and exhausting to get there without wasting a lot of time or spending a lot of money. If you do it right, though, the trip is smooth and you’ll make it to one of the most incredible places on earth, ready to take on the adventure!
Sadly, we aren’t located on the island of Moorea. We’re in Wisconsin, USA.
The Dairy State.
The closest thing we have in common with Moorea is that “Moo” is the sound a cow makes. It’s not even pronounced the same, so yeah, it’s a little different here.
One of the reasons we’re called Moorea Solutions, though, is because getting to Moorea is a great analogy for building a web or mobile app project. Without the right planning and execution, you could waste a ton of time and money and maybe never even be able to enjoy the end result.
We were founded by Dan Dorszynski in 2020. Dan is a Wisconsin native who spent his college years at Stanford and then moved even further west to Hawaii. There, he started his first web development company, Wet Sand, in 2000, with a friend from college.
Wet Sand worked with dozens of clients in the early days of the internet to build custom websites, databases, eCommerce tools, an early content management system of its own, games, and most importantly, several tools to help support the entire Hawaii State Department of Education and all the public schools in the state.
Now, for practical reasons, he has set up Moorea Solutions, LLC, to accommodate new business goals and new projects in Wisconsin.
